Bespoke

Bespoke Jewelry, Drawn for One Person

A commission is a piece that exists nowhere else. We design it with you, find the lab-grown diamond for it and make it to order.

What we make

Anything set with a diamond.

Most commissions are engagement rings. We also make wedding bands, anniversary rings, earrings, pendants and bracelets, and we remake ideas that began somewhere else: a ring seen once, a family design, a drawing on a napkin.

Every commission is set with lab-grown diamonds and made in 18k gold, in white, yellow or rose.

The process

Five steps, in order.

  1. A hand resting below a round diamond solitaire pendant
    01

    The conversation

Tell us who it is for, what you have in mind and what you would like to spend. A photograph, a rough sketch or one sentence is enough to begin.

  2. A hand drawing circles in pencil on paper
    02

    The drawing

We draw the piece and model it in three dimensions. You see it from every side, on a hand, at its true size, and we change it until it is right. Nothing is cast before you approve the design.

  3. Loose diamonds of different shapes on a black surface
    03

    The stone

We propose lab-grown diamonds in the shape and carat range you asked for, each with its grading report, and explain the differences in plain words. You choose.

  4. A jeweler setting a stone in a ring at the bench
    04

    The making

The piece is cast in 18k gold. Every stone is set by hand, and the metal is finished by hand.

  5. A jeweler polishing a finished ring
    05

    The handover

The finished piece is polished, checked under magnification and handed over with the report for its centre stone.

Before you write

What helps us.

  • Who the piece is for, and whether it is a surprise.
  • Pictures of pieces you like, and of pieces you do not.
  • A budget, even a rough one. It decides the stone before anything else.
  • The date you need it by.
  • A ring size, if you know it. The ring size guide shows how to find one.

Tell us the idea.

A few lines are enough. We reply with questions, first thoughts and a rough price.

Your enquiry goes to ART and to no one else. We use it only to answer you. The privacy policy says what is kept.

Questions

About commissions.

All questions
Can ART make a custom piece?

Yes. Bespoke work is half of what we do. Tell us the idea, the occasion and a budget. We draw the piece, propose the diamonds and make it once you have approved the design. See how a commission works.

How long does a custom piece take?

It depends on the design and on the stone. We give you a date before any work begins. If you need the piece for a particular day, tell us at the start.

How much does a piece cost?

Every piece is made to order, so the price depends on the diamond you choose and the metal. We quote each piece individually and free of charge. Tell us a budget and we will show you what it reaches.

Can ART reset a diamond I already own?

Ask us. ART sets lab-grown diamonds in its own designs. If you have a stone or a piece you would like remade, send a picture and its details and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Does my diamond come with a certificate?

Centre stones come with a grading report from an independent laboratory. The report records the cut, colour, clarity and carat weight of the diamond and states that it is laboratory-grown. The report number is usually inscribed on the edge of the stone.
