Room III
Lab-Grown Diamond Earrings
Studs, halos and drops. Every pair is matched stone to stone.

About this room
Earrings, made to order.
A pair of earrings is two diamonds that have to agree. We match each pair for size, colour and cut so that neither stone looks brighter or whiter than the other.
Studs are the piece most people wear most often, so they are the place to choose a good cut and a secure back.
A short guide
Choosing diamond earrings
- 01
Carat weight is quoted for the pair
Stud earrings sold as 1.00 carat total weight hold two stones of about 0.50 carat each. Check whether a weight means each stone or both.
- 02
Cut matters more than clarity
Earrings are seen from further away than a ring. A bright, well cut pair in a modest clarity grade is money well spent.
- 03
Pick the back for how you wear them
Push backs are quick. Screw backs are slower to put on and much harder to lose.
Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond. It is made of the same carbon crystal as a mined diamond, with the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same brilliance. In 2018 the United States Federal Trade Commission removed the word "natural" from its definition of a diamond for this reason.
Does my diamond come with a certificate?
Centre stones come with a grading report from an independent laboratory. The report records the cut, colour, clarity and carat weight of the diamond and states that it is laboratory-grown. The report number is usually inscribed on the edge of the stone.
How do I care for diamond jewelry?
Clean it in warm water with a drop of mild soap and a soft brush, then rinse and dry it. Take it off for the gym, the pool and heavy work. Store each piece separately, because a diamond will scratch gold and other stones. The care guide has the details.
